PROTO LYTZ - 1/8 scale buggy tires - 21% lighter than the standard Proto'z. Less rotating mass means faster acceleration. These tires are designed for optimal traction and will deliver consistent lap times on rough, low- to medium-grip tracks. These tires are designed for smooth and consistent runs. The tire has a row of straight LUGZ that protect each other and help the tire from overheating. Tire has small to medium Lugz (pins) that are thicker at the bottom to prevent folding over and wearing a drastic edge.
A great way to save money is to reuse your inserts & wheels, which is why we sell with multiple options-
- On lots of abrasive surfaces, the tires wear out before the inserts break down
- To make your racing more affordable, you can now purchase just new tires
and utilize your old inserts and acetone wheels
The new tire carcass is approx. 21% lighter than the X carcass.
These tires are designed for medium to high bite tracks; they will turn the fastest lap times on smooth, medium to high-grip abrasive tracks. This is a directional Bar tire that also has additional Lugz, that sit higher than the bars. This helps gain traction when out of the groove and in the loose dust.

1-dot = Extra soft tire used for all qualifying (hot or cold weather). This tire has a bunch of traction additives and no temperature additives made for races 20 minutes or less. (NOT a clay compound).
2-dot = Soft tire used for main events over 15 minutes and hot weather. has both traction & temperature additives. (NOT a clay rubber compound)
3-dot = Medium tire used for main events in hot weather over 20 minutes, has lots of temperature additives and no traction additives. (NOT a clay rubber compound)
